Ava is a 9-year-old Iranian girl. At school, there is a religious rite where the teachers sing hymns to the children, including a song instructing them to “be a good girl.”

After school, Ava goes to the birthday party of her cousin and best friend, Pouya. However, the presence of uninvited guests changes the atmosphere of the party for Ava. These guests influence Ava’s decisions and choices in the moment. In the end, an unexpected event places Ava in a significant dilemma.
