Silence Again

A young woman lives alone on a hill far from the city, surrounded by silence. She farms her land and takes her produce to the city on an old motorbike. On her way back one day, a scarecrow catches her eye. She returns home but can’t get the scarecrow out of her mind. In the middle of the night, she gets up and walks through the dark to see it again. The next morning, the scarecrow is at her house. She is no longer alone.

She transforms the scarecrow, giving it a feminine appearance. Her relationship with the scarecrow deepens over time. One day, she returns home to find the scarecrow falling toward her, injuring her. In a fit of anger and sorrow, she throws the scarecrow out and sheds tears, feeling alone and broken once more.

The next morning, the farmland, roads, and houses are empty and silent. In the middle of a paddy field, the woman stands in a scarecrow’s shirt and hat, her arms outstretched. Still and motionless, she has become a scarecrow herself.
